Amhara Agricultural Institute
ARARI is led by a Director General and Research Deputy Director General. It has 5 research directorates (crop, livestock, soil and water, forestry and agro-forestry and agricultural mechanization and food science), public relation core process and 6 support processes.
The Amhara Regional Agricultural Research Institute (ARARI) was established in the year 2000 with the following vision, mission, goal and objectives.
ARARI aspires to see improved livelihood of the society in the region through use of technologies generated and adopted by the institute.
Develop, adopt, and disseminate agro-ecological sound improved agricultural technologies based on appropriate management and utilization of the bio-diversity and natural resources for the better living standard of the society in the region.
In pursuit of its vision and mission, ARARI strives to generate appropriate agricultural technologies that contribute to the enhanced and sustainable agricultural productivity, competitiveness, economic growth, food security and poverty eradication.
